To All Club Secretary’s Thursday the 24th of April 2009
In recent times there have been inconsistencies in interpretation by Scrutineers regarding materials used on karts. In conjunction with the National Technical Officer, the following interpretation will apply forthwith:
- 1 Pod Bar Angle Bolts facing down may be used with the use of a Ny-Lock Nut with no more than 2 threads showing.
- 2 The use of the Bolt only type Mount for the rear crash bar is acceptable and complies with the rules of racing.
- 3 The use of the Barrel (or Bullet) type Brake cable clamps are acceptable and complies with the rules of racing.
- 4 Floor Tray issues, commencing from the 1st February 2010 all floor pans shall comply with the Rules of Racing specification, that is; not less than 20mm of gap from the main frame to the floor tray edge. Floor pans currently being used that do not meet the aforementioned specification will be acceptable until 1st February 2010.
